When I started to look around for what to do next, I applied for jobs, and in parallel I researched what it would take to start my own company. And the latter grew more and more serious, until today it has come true!

In the next few weeks I'll add more information here about the 2 areas of services I am offering:

• UX and prototyping for organizations with in-depth expert information, like in scientific, medical, technical or governmental organizations. I also have a strong affinity with organizations that make a positive contribution to society, such as charities and environmental organizations.

• attentive photography, e.g. personal portraits, small and special events (so not big weddings or parties and the like), or bringing out the beauty of a building or an object.

The really difficult part is now starting: getting customers and projects! Initially I'll leverage my LinkedIn network and personal contacts, and I hope to get the ball rolling in the next few months.

I also want to mention that the excellent information provided by the Dutch Chamber of Commerce helped me a lot and gave me the confidence that starting a company was not as daunting as I initially thought it was.
